Dennis Abrams

Board President

Dennis Abrams, Esq. a co-founder of Christian Legal Clinics of Philadelphia (CLCP), is the Senior Trial Partner with the Philadelphia medical malpractice firm of Lowenthal & Abrams, PC Dennis is recognized as a top Philadelphia medical malpractice lawyer, having been chosen by his colleagues as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer as well as receiving the honor of membership to The National Trial Lawyer’s Top 100 and The American Society of Legal Advocates. He is also recognized as a top Pennsylvania Medical Malpractice Lawyer by Main Line Today.

Dennis joined Lowenthal in 1986 after serving under Attorney General Dick Thornburgh in the criminal environmental section. Prior to joining Thornburgh, Dennis served with the Attorney General of West Virginia, beginning as an Assistant Attorney and working his way up to Deputy Attorney General.

Dennis obtained his undergraduate degree from Middlebury College and his law degree from West Virginia University College of Law.



Maryann Modesti

Maryann Q. Modesti, Esq.  founded the Law Office of Maryann Q. Modesti, PC
in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania in 2008, concentrating the practice in family law
and employment law.

Maryann Modesti is a member of the Bars of Pennsylvania, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the Supreme Court of the United States. Maryann is currently Vice President of the Board of CLCP and has been a member and officer of many non-profit boards in the past.

Maryann has been a child advocate both in Philadelphia and in Montgomery Counties, having assisted in development of MCAP, the Montgomery County Child Advocacy program. Maryann has presented programs to Christian lawyers, counselors and pastors relating to family law issues as these issues interact with other disciplines, has spoken at Women's Conferences and taught in Sunday Schools and other women's groups.

Scott W. Shaw, Founder and President of Veritas Strategies. Scott founded Veritas Strategies in 1997 after many years as a successful businessman and entrepreneur. He received his MBA from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania and his BS degree from Vanderbilt University in math, business and economics. He played intercollegiate basketball and tennis at Vanderbilt, and continues to compete in the USTA. Scott lives in Bucks County and has been married to his wife Lynne for over 35 years. They have two grown children, Kate and Matt (who has now joined Scott at Veritas Strategies). Since 1997, Veritas Strategies has been using quantitative analysis rooted in the Biblical values of financial freedom, generosity, and contentment. Deeply rooted in Bucks County and the local Doylestown community, Veritas Strategies is also recognized as one of the leading financial planning and asset management firms in the Mid-Atlantic area.

Diana Frazier

Board Member

Diana Frazier has worked in the non-profit sector for more than 30 years helping organizations meet strategic objectives through fund and product development, marketing, and operations management. She is currently the Director of Operations & Senior Client Manager for The Veritus Group, a consulting agency specializing in major and mid-level gift training and programs. She earned an MBA with a focus on global competencies, is a member of Cresheim Valley Church (PCA) in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia, and volunteers with CLCP’s Germantown clinic. Diana is the head of the development committee at CLCP.

Reverend Mark Rudolph

Board Member

Reverend Mark Rudolph, is the senior pastor at St. John's Anglican Church in Southampton, PA. He has served as a pastor in Pennsylvania, Germany, and Baltimore since 1985. He has also worked for SAT-7, a ministry broadcasting satellite programming into the Middle East and North Africa, as well as helping to prepare men for the ministry in several capacities.

His interest in the law comes from his time as a para-legal for a small law office in Arizona during the early 1980s. His interest in justice comes from the Bible! Mark enjoys serving in a chaplaincy role from time to time in one of the CLCPs clinics.

Mark obtained a M.Div. from Reformed Episcopal Seminary. Mark and Lynn have 5 sons and 11 grandchildren.

Megan A. Ferry, is a senior tax executive with over 25 years of experience in providing tax and accounting consulting services with a specialization in mergers and acquisitions, consolidations and federal, state and foreign strategic tax planning. Megan is currently Vice President of Taxes at Superior Group, Inc. located in Conshohoken, Pennsylvania with prior work experience at publicly traded companies and public accounting firms. Megan received her Masters in Taxation from Villanova University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of Scranton. In addition to serving the Christian Legal Clinics of Philadelphia, Megan is currently the treasurer of a local non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funding for breast cancer research in the Philadelphia area. Megan lives in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania with her husband and four children.

Daniel Popkave, Esq.

Board Member

Daniel Popkave, Esq. operates a solo practice on tax and estate planning and transactional law for small businesses and nonprofits. Daniel earned a B.A. degree from Eastern University and a J.D. from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law in Philadelphia. Daniel is a member of the Bars of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Daniel has been involved with CLCP since 2012, serving as a contract attorney, a member of the Young Professionals Board, and the lead attorney of the Hunting Park clinic on the first Thursday of each month.

Prior to law school, Daniel was a math teacher and Summer Programs Manager at the Stony Brook School in Long Island, NY.

Mark Thompson, Esq. is a member of the three-person Executive Committee at Marshall Dennehey, which is the governing body of a 500 lawyer firm and serves to advance and implement its strategic goals and objectives. Since 2008, Mark has also served on the firm's Board of Directors. In addition to his role in the leadership of the firm, Mark has distinct responsibility for the oversight of 19 regional offices located across Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Delaware and Florida.

Mark's legal practice is focused in the areas of corporate, premises and products liability defense with particular emphasis in the theme park and brewing industries.

A graduate of the University of Florida, Mark worked as an insurance adjuster for two years before starting law school. After graduation, Mark joined the defense litigation firm of Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell where he was a partner and practiced for 12 years. In 2001, Mark Joined Marshall Dennehey Warner Colman & Coggin, assuming management of the firm's Orlando office. His responsibilities were increased in 2004 when he was appointed head of the state's casualty practice group and again in 2006 when he was appointed regional managing attorney for the four Florida offices. In 2008, Mark was elected by his fellow shareholders to serve on the firm's nine-member board of directors.

She knows the people, and she understands their problems. Regardless of the pressing legal need or personal situation, Regina takes great satisfaction in getting results for her clients and in helping her clients in the most affordable way possible. She delivers a very personal experience to her clients. She has a unique combination of being supportive and understanding to her client's needs and being extremely skilled at mediating and litigating legal issues on their behalf. Regina follows her cases through from the first meeting until the final hearing or signed agreement.
