Family Law Attorney

Christian Legal Clinics of Philadelphia (CLCP) needs to add a family law attorney who will manage the organizations increasing requests for family law assistance. CLCP needs a family law attorney to represent clients with Custody, Protection from Abuse, and other family law related matters. The family law attorney will also train volunteer attorneys on how to handle family law related consultations and cases.  

CLCP is a growing Christian Legal Aid organization which seeks to do justice with the love of God by advocating for those in need in the Philadelphia area. CLCP provides free legal consultations for residents of Philadelphia and neighboring communities through partnerships with local ministries and volunteer attorneys, additionally CLCP provides direct pro bono representation for a variety of legal matters, including but not limited to criminal record expungements and family law.  

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee intake and follow up of all family law clients from each of the CLCP legal clinics. 

  • Conduct all family law follow up consultations to determine if clients meet CLCP eligibility requirements for pro-bono or low-bono representation. 

  • Represent CLCP family law clients during hearings and other proceedings 

  • Track all family law referrals 

  • Assist with the coordination of the CLCP legal clinics 

  • Participate in quarterly lead attorney conference calls 

  • Coordinate annual trainings for CLCP volunteers on family law related matters 

  • Serve as an on-call support for all CLCP clinics during clinic hours  

  • Provide legal representation on non-family law cases as needed 

  • Assist development director with capturing client stories  

  • Recruit family law attorney volunteers  

  • Recruit family law attorneys for CLCP’s low-bono referral network 

  • Assist with coordinating social service needs for clients 

  • Participate in family law sections of the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Bars  


  • Active Christian  

  • Admitted to Pennsylvania Bar 

  • 3+ years of experience as a family law attorney (or comparative social services work) 

  • Member of the Philadelphia Bar Association 

  • Ability to work well within a small office setting  

  • Ability to work well with volunteers 

  • Ability to work evenings and some Saturdays 

Salary is $50,000.  Benefits are negotiable.
