The Salvation Army Legal Clinic, located in the Haddington section of West Philadelphia, was the first Christian legal clinic in Philadelphia. The longstanding partnership between CLCP and the West Philadelphia Salvation Army Corps Community Center began in 2002. The clinic’s operating hours are the first and third Thursdays of every month from 5pm until 8pm. Walk-in clients are welcome.

Partner Profile: The Salvation Army West Philadelphia Corps Community Center 

The West Philadelphia Corps Community Center serves the entire West Philadelphia community. In keeping with The Salvation Army’s mission to communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ and to promote the alleviation of human suffering, corps programs range from Sunday worship services, Bible Studies, and Vacation Bible School to crisis alleviation case management, substance abuse recovery groups, feeding programs, and child care centers. Other typical programs include after school enrichment programs, senior centers, character-building recreational programs, music instruction, summer day camp, leadership and life skills development, and much more. Envoys Tony and LaVerna Lewis lead the corps community center, providing pastoral and administrative leadership.
