Christian Legal Clinics of Philadelphia heading with city skyline

About Our Legal Clinics

Our host ministries partner with us and view the legal clinic as part of their ministry to their own neighborhood. They are our lifeline to the community and arrange for clients to contact the clinic and help us to connect clients to resources available for support and follow up.

The West Philadelphia clinic was our first clinic and opened in 2003.  It is presently open twice a month, on the first and third Thursdays of the month.  Penn law students are an integral part of the program and actively participate in intake and the formulation of legal strategies to address the client’s legal problems.  Clients are predominantly African American and legal issues include housing, credit and family .

The Ayuda Legal Clinic first opened in 2005.  It is presently open twice a month, on the first and third Tuesdays of the month.  Pam Ramos coordinates the clinic.  Ayuda’s staff and folks from Spirit and Truth Fellowship Church are actively involved and act as translators and assist with follow up.  Clients are predominantly Latino and legal issues include family, immigration and housing.  Many local ministries refer clients to the clinic.

We would like to open as many clinics in the area as we have attorneys and ministries to support.
